Mary Knaff Romac

Mary has been writing since she was in junior high, but writing professionally was never part of her plan.  In fact, she recalls telling the Lord, “But, I’m not a writer!,” the day He tapped her on the shoulder and downloaded a book idea into her head, with the beginning words and several chapter titles. This divine nudge was the beginning of a new journey.

Her career in sales and marketing prepared her to pursue this calling with the same drive and intensity that she pursued her sales objectives, even co-founding a company. Following her career, she focused her energy on Bible study and was recognized as a Bible teacher by Community Bible Study. She thrived as she spent countless hours each week unraveling the depths of God’s Word, exploring original languages, and various commentaries to craft insightful mini-sermons that resonated with many.

Today, Mary’s writing serves to encourage readers to give themselves permission to pause and ponder, urging them to forge a deeper connection with the Lord. In addition, as a Spiritual Director, she also coaches others either personally or via Zoom to help them hear the invitations Jesus is extending.

Mary is a wife and mother to 3 adult children and grandmother to 1. She can get lost in a bookstore or library and be so focused on a project that she forgets to eat. Originally from the Chicago area, she decided to escape the snowy winters and now lives in Florida.
